Case Studies

Due to the high internal heat loads, telecommunication sites require cooling throughout the year even when outside temperatures are cold. Conventional residential and commercial air conditioners are not designed for operation below 60oF (15oC). Our units are engineered specifically for this application and have all the necessary controls, features and safeties.

Marvair builds the ComPac® I and ComPac® II wall-mounted air conditioners with cooling capacities of one to six tons in a variety of styles and configurations. The ECU60 is a field replacement for 3 ton air conditioners. The ECU59 is a field replacement for 2 and 2-1/2 ton air conditioners. These units provide 50% more cooling yet have supply and return air openings that match the existing units. Options include hot gas reheat for dehumidification, electric resistance heat, factory installed kits for operation in extremely hot or cold climates and many more.

To control your Marvair air conditioners, we offer a wide selection of thermostats and controllers. The CommStat 3 is the industry's most requested thermostat/controller. It provides control of redundant units, is fully programmable and has five alarms for remote notification. Other models include the LL357D3, an electronic successor to the LL357A models. Specifically designed for control of redundant units, Marvair thermostats and controllers are available from 1 or 2 stage thermostats to a microprocessor controller with remote control and monitoring capability.

Marvair also builds environmental control units in cooling capacities from 1/2 to 1 1/2 tons for the telecommunications cabinet. The SlimPac, DoorPac, and MiniPac were designed for the stringent requirement demanded by the telecommunications industry.

The External Low Noise Blower (ELNB) is a field installed condenser air hood and blower that can reduce the sound levels of air conditioners by up to 6 dbA.

In addition to our standard products, we design and build custom cooling units for specific needs. If you have unique requirements or limited space, contact us at 888-726-2734 or 229-273-3636 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (EST) or click on the Contact Us button in the top menu.
