SlimPac

The SlimPac Environmental Control Units (ECU) are designed for the telecommunications cabinet. The SlimPac is built in cooling capacities of 1 and 1-1/2 tons. The slim profile allows the unit to be mounted on the exterior of the cabinet on either side of the splice chamber allowing for redundant cooling. A counterflow design, the cool air is discharged near the bottom of the SlimPac. It is designed for use in ambient temperatures from 0°F to 120°F (-18°C to 40°C). The low noise level makes the SlimPac ideal for use in urban and residential areas. Electric heat (3.6 kW) is standard. Manufactured and tested to UL Standard 1995, 2nd Edition and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 236-95, 2nd Ed.

Designed for Operation in Low Ambient Conditions

  • Low ambient control regulates the condenser fan (ECU12) or blower (ECU18) to maintain proper refrigerant pressures.
Built-in Reliability
  • Low refrigerant pressure switch (ECU18 only), freeze stat and high pressure switch protect refrigerant circuit.
  • Time delay/anti-short cycle timer prevents rapid cycling of the compressor.
  • Dry contacts for remote monitoring of lockout due to high or low refrigerant pressure.
  • Powder-coated finish for long term durability.
Vandal Resistant
  • All panels secured with tamper resistant screws (ECU12 only).
  • All mounting holes are inside the SlimPac.
Options
  • Grilles
  • Thermostat and Controllers
