Marvair® Marine MAB models of Self-contained Reverse Cycle Air Conditioners

Marvair Marine MAB models are the world's premier line of self-contained reverse cycle air conditioners. Reverse cycle means that they provide heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. The units are built with capacities of 7,000; 10,000; 12,000 & 16,000, & 24,000 BTUHs. (For information our 5,000 BTUH unit, the SAB05, click here). The MAB units use R-410A refrigerant. R-410A is environmentally friendly, non-ozone depleting and accepted for use by the European Community. All Marvair self-contained units meet all applicable ABYC, US Coast Guard, CE directives and are built to the requirements of UL standard 484, 7th Edition. Marvair units are designed for operation on 60 Hz. & 50 Hz. power supplies and various voltages.

Structural supports, blower housing and the control box are constructed of light weight, superior corrosion resistant aluminum primed and finished with a white, heat cured polyester
			Stainless steel drain pan with embossed bottom adds rigidity and keeps critical components above condensate.
		A baked on, polyester enamel finish applied to the entire evaporator coil. Over 1,000 hours when tested to ASTM B117. Washable filter

A universal control/PC board
One control board for all products - self-contained units, split systems, chillers and chilled water air handlers- makes replacement quicker and easier and reduces stocking requirements.

A Marvair first - the Box Blower™ air mover A compact, motorized impeller type blower moves the conditioned air quietly and efficiently through duct work. Two to three dBA quieter than conventional centrifugal blowers. Up to three duct outlets on the blower housing eliminate the need to rotate the blower, saving valuable installation time and labor. No expensive air distribution adapters required. Blower motor never needs oiling. Less space - our most compact unit. Footprint is 15% less than previous models. Less power consumption - our most efficient unit High efficiency Tecumseh rotary and Copeland scroll compressors More heat transfer with the cupronickel, eight volute, multi-lead inner tube. Box blower draws up to 50% less power than other blowers.

Motorized impeller powers the conditioned air through duct work with unmatched sound levels. The venturi ring provides a smooth transition of the air into the impeller, increasing air flow by up to 20% & reducing sound levels.

Rugged Construction

• Mounting holes for the compressor are punched and tapped- no welds that can rust.
• The bottom of the pan is insulated to prevent external condensation, minimize movement and reduce sound transmission.

Rapid Installation

• Multi-wire control box harness allows for remote mounting of the control box up to six feet from the unit.
• Terminal strip for both the power & control wiring.
• 5/8" condensate hose barbs provided for either end of the base pan.
• Factory provided hold down clamps.
