The classroom ventilation requirements of ASHRAE standard 62-1999 have put an additional strain on school energy budgets. The Marvair GreenWheel® ERV enables schools to comply with the standard, provide occupants with superb indoor air quality, and significantly reduce operating costs by recovering up to 75% of the energy being exhausted from classrooms.
Marvair employs two time-proven technologies in the GreenWheel® ERV system: sensible heat energy recycling to reduce waste plus desiccant dehumidification to provide superior classroom humidity control especially on those spring and fall days when mechanical cooling is not necessary.
The Marvair GreenWheel® ERV is tested and certified according to the rigorous requirements of ARI (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute) standard 1060 and is recognized by U.L.

Features- Non-migrating desiccant is impregnated within the structure
- 4A molecular sieve desiccant
- Synthetic media resists corrosion
- Flute geometry reduces cross contamination
- Transfers both sensible and latent heat
- Can be cleaned with a hose or steam cleaner
- Full contact brush seal
- Internal sealed roller bearings
- 16 Ga. galvanized sheet metal frame
The GreenWheel® ERV cassette consists of the GreenWheel® ERV, two blowers, the GreenWheel® ERV drive motor and belt. The two blowers simultaneously pull fresh air from outside and exhaust air from the classroom. The air streams are separated by an insulated partition to prevent mixing of the air streams. Variable speed blowers ensure that up to 450 cfm of outside air is brought into the classroom and the indoor air is exhausted.
Marvair units, when selected with the GreenWheel® ERV option, provide year-round comfort and air quality at reduced operating costs.
