GreenPac and GreenPac HGR

The GreenPac and GreenPac HGR are vertical wall mounted air conditioners used in a classroom to reduce energy costs while meeting the outside air ventilation requirements of ASHRAE 62-1999. If a heat pump with the GreenWheel® ERV or Hot Gas Reheat is required, please see Classic Heat Pumps. The GreenPac has the factory installed Marvair GreenWheel® ERV with dual blower assembly. Outside air is pulled through the GreenWheel® ERV while simultaneously indoor air is exhausted through the GreenWheel® ERV. The Marvair GreenWheel® ERV can reduce operating expenses by recovering up to 75% of energy being exhausted.

The GreenPac HGR (Hot Gas Reheat) is a vertical wall unit that combines the benefits of the GreenWheel® ERV with the additional dehumidification capability of a hot gas reheat coil. The HGR coil permits dehumidification of the fresh air from outside and the return air from the classroom without overcooling the room. Dehumidification is achieved by operating mechanical cooling in conjunction with a HGR coil sized to the sensible capacity of the unit. The operation of the HGR coil is controlled by a humidity or BAS controller.

The GreenPac and GreenPac HGR are available as air conditioners. Capacities range from 24,000 to 60,000 BTUH (2-5 Tons). All units are listed by ETL and rated in accordance with ARI efficiency standards for air conditioners.
