Students on tour

Today, the Crisp County School System's Work-Based Learning Program made a difference. They toured 31 students through 3-4 valuable, community invested employers. They had no clue what our 4 host businesses do or who they really are. This afternoon, we left with 31 students asking questions such as "can we start working there now? " Most commented, "I had no idea Cordele had all of this."

Tomorrow, those 31 students will spread your opportunities down the halls of CCHS. Conversations will include the importance of attendance, attitude, drug screenings and background checks, South Georgia Tech Programs and Apprenticeships, and many local career options. You have started something really, really good. I have no doubt the effects will provide long lasting benefits for all of us involved. I am very proud of all that we have accomplished.

To our entire CCSS team, our 4 host businesses, and our hard-working IDC dream team, the students and I appreciate you. We are proud to claim you as partners in our CCHS WBL Program. We look forward to building student opportunities and community success with you. I can't wait to see where we "grow" next.
